If you plan on playing Convicition, the singleplayer atleast, you will need to alott half of your 24 hour day to fully complete the game on normal difficulty, according to the developer. 12 hours is pretty respectable for a singleplayer, but I am still trying to understand what the multiplayer could have in store for us. Sam Fischer has never liked multiplayer.
Microsoft is one company that’s surely seen a lot of lawsuits… both on the giving and receiving end. This time around they are being sued over patent infringements with Xbox Live.
Played too much Left 4 Dead or tired of what it has to offer? Wishing that Value would stop working on L4D2 and release some more free DLC for L4D? Well, you will get your wish here as Valve has announced that they will be announcing some more L4D DLC by the end of the summer. According to a Valve spokesman, they will continue to support L4D even after L4D2 has released. So hold your breath sportsfans, we might get some more free DLC for L4D!

In a recent interview, Sean Alexander, director of Microsoft’s Advertising Business Group, suggested that we might be seeing ads on the Xbox Dashboard quite soon. I won’t go into to much detail, but basically the ads will be akin to those on websites and will be powered by Microsoft’s Silverlight. The above picture is a sample of what could be coming our way. If you paid attention to the Microsoft Press Conference, you would know about Last.fm coming to Xbox Live. There has been news that surfaced about the content coming this fall. Heres the good news, we get the service for free (if your a Gold subscriber) ad supported that is. If your silver, well they are looking at 3 hours a month to try it out. But who still has a Silver account now adays? There also is a ad-free version, but they are going to charge extra for that. Based on Last.fm’s subscription fees, you would have to shell out another $36 bucks ON TOP of your Xbox Live Gold Subscription. So, with Last.fm coming this fall, and you being a Gold subscriber. Are you cool with ad-supported radio? Its free, so it makes sense, but I do not see alot of people paying extra for no ads. What will you be doing come this fall?

Michael Patcher from Wedbush Morgan Securities has spoken about who he thinks will end up winning the console war. The two most unimportant consoles on the planet, Patch says, finish first and second. (Wii then PS3). What does he say about the 360? Well, citing the poor sales in Japan, Patcher says that the Xbox 360 will finish in last, but will sell 2 times more units than the original Xbox. So not a too far out prediction because of the Wii’s enormous sales figuires, as well as the Blu-Ray supporting PS3 (thats why I bought mine :p). So overall, I think Microsoft will be pretty happy with their situation. I think alot of the PS3 sales (post price drop) really will not be for gaming, but Blu-Ray watching. Which isn’t bad for Sony, but I still think Microsoft’s focus on gaming will prevail in the end. What do you guys think?
Have you seen that Xbox 360 Beta icon appearing in people’s gamercards like MajorNelson’s? Well people have noticed and have begun to speculate on the nature of what that meant. Was it the new dashboard, Natal, a new game?
I know, that sounds like something you would see in a spam email and just like spam, my title is not 100% accurate. But it did get your attention didn’t it? Well, you can get a free diamond branded P12 in Burnout Paradise and that is almost as good as real diamonds right?
We try not to bash the other consoles (ok we do on occasion because it is fun sometimes) and this topic is not meant to bash Sony in any way. Ok, this is still a rumor to me. Let me tell you guys why. Over the last 10 days there have been more then 30 diffirent release dates from magazines and such, but because this if from an e-mail sent from EA it makes it be the best guess we have. I’ll be updating this post as soon as Gordon van Dyke responds to this and confirms or denies it.

We’re all still reeling from the passing of the King of Pop, but fortunately, Microsoft’s got a nice memorial for Michael Jackson up on Xbox Live.
