In GTA IV: The lost and damned you play as Johnny, vice president of The Lost Motorcycle Club. It start off with a cutscene where the gang is driving around and all the characters get named. Your driving to your gangs president who is getting out of jail. While driving you will see Niko walking by bumping in someone and swearing while your gang drives on the background which is a cool touch. Once you picked up your gangs president the playing starts, you drive him back to your clubhouse and after that all the characters special abilities get explained.

The main characters you will interact with are Billy the gangs president, Ashley your ex-girlfriend, Clay the road captain who can deliver a bike to your location if needed,  Stubbs a politician who gives you a laugh in a cutscene (watch the cutscene: http://www.gametrailers.com/player/45617.html *Contains Nudity* ) and some jobs and Terry the weapon supplier.

The main missions are heavily focused on bike driving and because of that Rockstar put in a ton of new bikes and some new physics, a total of 17 bikes are added and 3 cars. The bikes all look different and handle a little different but the most difference is between the choppers and the sport bikes.

The missions itself have all the same structure, you watch a cutscene, drive to a location, shoot, drive back, watch a cutscene. This does not mean its boring or repetitive, i had a ton of fun with them. While you are doing your missions your gang member that survive get better at shooting and get better guns, this way you still care if one of your gang members dies, no worried they will always be replaces but with some stupid guy that never shot a gun before  Cutscenes also include talk about the current problems in the world making the characters more believable, and the voice acting is strong as ever.

Besides the main missions there are side missions like gang wars that make you chase other gangs and kill them and races where you just race, but baseball bat style. The new TV shows are fun as ever and the new tracks on the radio are nice since the old tunes are getting old.

From the second you start off the new 6 weapons are given to you in missions. One missions will give you the automatic pistol, the other one will give you a grenade launcher. The new weapons are awesome and the sawed off shotgun is great to use on a bike and can very well be chosen above the automatic shotgun since your driving your bike most of the time.  One thing you won’t be able to do is buy all those guns and ammo, you really need to work for your money in this expansion, the most money given in a mission is 10.000 so even in your game you’ll notice the economic problems.

There is also a whole new multiplayer part. Your character is now a bikes with all the bikes clothes you need, even more clothes then in the original. New gamemodes are:

Races:  Race with the bikes and the baseball bats, if you remember Road Rash you know what to do in this game mode.

Club Business: You and the other player are The lost gang, you get missions by phone and driving close to each other regenerates your health and gives you body armor as well.

Lone Wolf Biker: One lone wolf biker and the rest is out to kill him.

Chopper vs Chopper: 1 bike, 1 helicopter and 1 epic battle.

Witness Protection:  One teams protects, the other attacks

Own the city: Capture as many territories as possible, they are protected by the other team as well as AI defenders

The other modes are DM, TDM and Free mode, all game modes include all new weapons and some new vehicles.

In conclusion, if you even slightly liked GTA IV and completed the story I highly recommended you getting this, if you have not finished the first story you can still get it and play it right away, but its fun to first finish the first story and then seeing it from Johnny’s side, this is the most content i have ever gotten out of DLC, i player 9 hours to finish the story which is more then some full games, not to mention the multiplayer side. I believe Rockstar just set the bar higher on what DLC should be.

I give this DLC 5 out 5 stars, i would be surprised if anyone in the coming years passes the amount of  content you get for the money your paying here, GTA IV is back!
