Xbox 360 just unlocked Coral Sea, the 4th map for Battlefield 1943. Its was a race between Xbox360 and PS3 but its over. Xbox 360 won hands down.
What is Coral Sea all about? Check it out after the jump.
Update: Congratulations to jkasapi for getting us the winning kill! Check out what he won after the jump!
DICE announced the 4th Pacific location “Coral Sea” with Air Superiority Game Mode will be unlocked for players once they collectively reached 43 Million kills on the initial three maps, Wake Island, Guadalcanal, and Iwo Jima. When the game is ready to download and play, each platform will begin the quest to reach the 43 million kill goal this summer! Coral Sea features the new game mode “Air Superiority” which takes pilots to the sky for and unmatched online aerial battle like never before seen! Get ready to put your pilot skills to the test and prove yourself an Ace of the Pacific!
While un-locking the Coral Sea map was definitely a communal effort, we here at EA DICE would like to give a shout out to Xbox live user James (jkasapi) from Peterborough, England.
It was James’ virtual bullet that registered the 43,000,000th kill, un-locking the Coral Sea map and Air Superiority mode for all Xbox users.
For his trouble, James wins a pair of official 1943 sunglasses, a 1943 t-shirt, and custom Battlefield sneakers! Congrats James!
Happy flying!
