Are the number of games ruining your gaming experience? Moroniccow, Wingman709, and I tackled this question in this weeks show. We also mentioned the Modern Warefare Prestige Edition and the NXE updates coming next month. The VIP section has been rebranded to the “Friends List”, but we had technical difficulties and lost that part of the show. Don’t worry about the questions because we will cover them again in next episode. Enjoy the show and thank you for helping us past 6 million gamerscore on our community gamercard.

Just to throw it out there Stallion83 is the world leader. every once and awhile someone gamesaves past him and then gets reset again.
Well. I finally got done listening to this episode and find I have a couple of relevent comments related to what you guys were talking about..
On the NXE update (is this to be the NNXE? Or from my original comments when the subject came up, the NSXE? but, I digress…) Anyway, something was said about a fix for broken Live IDs and you weren’t sure what it was about. Well, I just had this happen last week, so I have a little info.
I keep maybe 10 or so gamertags for visiting emmisaries. Usually they are silver, but when the people who “own” them show up at my house for an extended stay, I use a gold card of the appropriate term from a stash I keep in a drawer. In this case, I had two grandkids visiting for two weeks, so I busted out a pair of month long cards. One worked with no problem, but the other would not take it. I tried 2 other 1 month cards, a 48 hour card and finally a 12+1 with no luck, so I call 4MYXBOX and got the usual “see you in three (business) days” answer.
While on the call, I happened to mention that the GT worked fine, but they said it was “corrupted” based on the error code I was seeing. “Corrupted? says I… So I tried to restore it with no luck, but noticed that while all other info was in place, there was no email address associated with the account (I had told them that the kid probably changed his email sometime over the last couple of years, but that turned out untrue).
Anyway, to reduce a longer story to merely “long”, when they called back they said yes, the GT was “corrupted” and that it would be fixed in August with the NXE update. However, in the meantime, please take this free code for 1 year of gold. Moral of this story? Anybody that has such a broken GT wit no email, whip out a 48 hour trial and go through the MS helpdesk for a free 1 year of XBL!
Story 2… on an unrelated, yet strangely related note… My son-in-law got the RROD on his second system day yesterday. The first was my launch system that worked for about three years or so and finally died a couple years after I gave it to him. Luckily, he knew from the first time that the Best Buy unconditional service contract (that I had bought with the first one) is a must..
So, it was a 5 minute trip to Best Buy for a new system. However, THIS system came with a 60gig drive and unlike before, they would not even let him keep the old drive with his stuff on it instead of the new one (right, why would be want to). So, the moral of this story is that bjswick33 needs to get a Best Buy warranty, hook a set of jumper cables to his XBox until he gets RROD and go get that new 60gig!
