As you can tell by the title, this is our special Wheelman episode. We got the opportunity to talk to the Executive Producer of Wheelman this week and it was an awesome interview. We have an full hour interview that should get you ready for this upcoming game. We could have called it quits with the interview, but no, we decided to ramble on for another hour about some topics we wanted to talk about. Things like getting Achievements outside of your games, comparing Xbox Live Membership numbers to actual download stats, and we finish up with some talk about game demos. Wingman quickly rants about his distaste for a certain drummer from Metallica and then its off to our VIP section. So join us for a great show filled with Hollywood fun and thrills.
This week we settle back into our studios, and this week we have the “dream” team recording this week. Who that includes, well you will have to listen to the show and find out. We talk in length about our impressions of the NPD numbers, Tom Clancy H.A.W.X demo, how demos affect our game purchases, and our thoughts about Microsoft Retail Stores opening up soon. We close out the show with our V.I.P section. Reminder that we have a special interview lined up for Episode 27! So keep tuning in!
You asked for it and we responded with our very first LIVE community show. We opened the doors to our plush offices and the masses streamed in to meet their favorite hosts, worship the ground we walk on, and to revel in our awesomeness….ok, so you all came for the free pizza and Coke but you still showed up so we are happy. This week, we had a live call and got to hear from many of you guys. We started out by celebrating the fact that we went reached the 100 gamers on our gamercard and we are really close to hitting 2 million points. We then got down to business as we sounded off about some recent demos like Resident Evil 5, Halo Wars, F.E.A.R 2, and Skate 2. Rob steals Mark’s story about Avatar clothing coming as achievements and then we talk some GTA IV DLC. Rob brings up some info about NetFlix (which I am sure he stole from someone), and Brun ends storytime with some news of Battlefield 1943 and Battlefield: Bad Company 2 both coming soon. We hit the VIP section and close out the show with some final thoughts. We hope you enjoy it.
This week is not as long as the past, but it does include a rant from our Wingman709 (he loves Alone in the Dark)! Other than the rant we have some info about Fallout 3 DLC, Burnout Paradise Party, what NXE could have been, Leipzig is closing it’s doors, and some demo impressions. Then we hit the usual VIP section before calling it a night. See you on the live show next week!
Brun is MIA this week but that is ok as the rest of were ready. We welcome our new gamers, talk about site changes that have been made, and then its off to the news of the week with some GTA IV DLC, Gears of War 2 title update #2, some PR mistakes being made by numerous parties, Ubisofts promise of some great new titles including Ghost Recon, I Am Alive, Assassins Creed, Splinter Cell, and a new Avatar game. We then head into our VIP section and we had three TokBox messages this week so you will get to hear some of the community this week as well. Enjoy.
This weeks show we start off by welcoming the new guys to our gamercard. We close out the gamercard challenge once and for all before we jump into the new things coming to our community. In fact, two of the items we talk about in the show have already gone live on the site so don’t miss out on these exciting things. Then we get to the meat of the show by having Kyle explain to us the difference between the Fable II paid DLC and the free DLC. Rob breaks out the NPD numbers from December, while Mark declares “I AM ALIVE”. We continue to ramble on about development times for games, the clothing options for our Avatars, the 100 friends limit getting removed, and the Resident Evil 5 demo. Then its off to the VIP section for some great questions and we finally close out the very long show with a reminder about our upcoming LIVE show. So don’t miss out, download it today and remember to give us those 5 star ratings in iTunes.
Everyone is back! We sat down on Thursday and recorded a long one. We started off the show by recognizing the gamers on the This Xbox Life Gamercard, then talked a little Hasbro games, Microsoft CES Keynote, Fable 2 Knothole Island, the original Xbox versus the PS3, the next Ubisoft Tom Clancy game, and finished up with a sad note about 1up.com. This weeks VIP had 4 great questions and don’t forget that Episode 25 is going to be a live show. Enjoy!
They came, they recorded, and now we listen. This week the crew had some discussion on Fable II, gaming resolutions, and the death of the Zune. They had a quick DLC update and this weeks Friday Night Life game is…..COD 4. Before they forced themselves to call it quits, Overkill sent in another dandy of question for this weeks VIP. Enjoy the fun!
Hey everyone! We hope you enjoyed your Christmas and are ready to play all those new 360 games Santa brought you. In this weeks show we discuss what games and gifts we received over the holiday. We quickly covered E3 booth babes, Zune-Xbox integration, the first Friday Night Life game has been chosen, and Kyle has some issues with Ubisoft Montreal. Before we called it a night, Wing announces his plans for PC gaming and Fair Power submitted a few questions for our VIP section. Enjoy the New Year!
This week we are missing one monroniccow, but wingman709, presar, and myself buckled down to bring you Episode 18. We start off the show announcing that we finally made it to Zune Marketplace! The gamerscore challenge continues, but without any contestants changing spots and wingman709 points out that presar and I are missing some achievements from Dash of Destruction. For the remainder of the show we discuss some music, NXE on the iphone, and our picks for the 2008 Game Awards season. Before we closed it down we hit our VIP section with comments/questions from overkill1972 and XsicX AsSaSsiN. NOTE: During the show I mentioned that the Columbus Blue Jackets (my favorite team) defeated the Dallas Stars (overkill1972’s team) in overtime. What I did not realize is that the goal was waived off and the game went into a Shootout where the Dallas Stars defeated the Jackets. I feel that I need to apologize to overkill1972. Sorry man!
